INVESTIGATION OF THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN ORGANIZATIONAL TRUST AND WORK STRESS IN THE TEXTILE INDUSTRY

Abstract

The aim of this study is to examine the relationship between the perceived organizational trust and organizational stress of employees in the textile industry, which is one of the leading sectors in Turkey, to reveal demographic differences and to investigate the strategies of organizations to manage these two factors. For this purpose, the research was carried out on 248 personnel working in three textile and apparel sectors operating in Kocaeli province. SPSS 22 program was used for the analysis of the obtained results. According to the regression analysis findings, a negative relationship was found between organizational trust dimensions, trust in the manager and trust in the organization, and job stress. On the other hand, according to the results of the t-test, it was determined that there was a difference between these two dimensions of trust according to the gender of the employees, but there was no difference with the job stress. In addition, it was found that the marital status of the employees did not differ according to these variables.
