Education activities in our country are the most important factors that are shaped by the outstanding efforts of families and trainers and play an active role in the preparation of young people for life. For this reason, it is thought that university students should evaluate the values and competencies they receive from the external environment in the process of shaping their career and career goals during their education. In this study, it is aimed to determine which values and competencies come to the fore especially in the career choices and career planning of young people in the era of digital transformation, which is increasing its impact day by day. In accordance with the subject and purpose of this research, which is modeled as a qualitative study, face-to-face interviews were conducted with nine different university students selected according to the principle of easy accessibility. The collected data were analyzed using descriptive and content analyzes and phenomenology technique, and empirical findings were obtained about how the career plans of young people across the country were shaped and the new values created by the digital age. According to the findings obtained from this research, the younger generation is aware of the digital age and demands that the personal development necessary to fulfill its requirements is offered to them by employers. Students can foresee that digitalization will increasingly continue in the future and that while some professions will disappear with this effect, some new professions will emerge, and they can determine for themselves that they need to keep up with the transformation. In this context, it is thought that businesses that give importance to the personal development of their personnel can work in harmony with the new generation workforce because contrary to popular belief, young people who receive vocational training care about patience, discipline, regular and planned work just like previous generations in order to be successful in their profession.
