Abstract

Change and transformation are inevitable. Societies are on their way to becoming a “new world society” with dizzying speed. And this is very difficult to prevent. All countries of the world are aware of this fact and have made a positioning effort to ensure the maximum benefit from the developments. When cheap labor and created manufacturing opportunities in the Far East began to pose a major threat to enterprises engaged in manufacturing in the Western world, western states used the process of change-transformation as a remedy. So much so that this method has been supported at the level of governments. Germany has put forward its claim to create an environment suitable for producing cheaper, faster, functional products using the” industry 4.0 " method. Although everything that is essentially expressed has been scientifically said by those who have developed artificial intelligence and intelligent manufacturing systems for decades, a new wave of manufacturing called digital transformation has been created, aimed at preventing the impact caused by production and manufacturing pressure in Far Eastern countries.

In this study, the effects of change on the organization and leader of the “Industry 4.0” application, which is considered an industrial revolution, were examined and evaluated. In this context, by examining the definition of industry 4.0 and leadership in this study, the connection between these two definitions can be explained on a theoretical basis. The main finding of this study is that leadership plays an important role in the emergence of industry 4.0, as well as industry 4.0 plays an important role in the formation of successful and promising leadership.
