Abstract

Aviation has a very important place in today's world. Airports, which are directly related to air transport, arein a very essential position for the systematic operationof airline traffic, so they have to perform variousactivities. Weather conditions are of great importancefor the proper execution of flight activities. Cleaning of PAT areas is very crucial  in order to prevent aircraftcrashes due to snow and icing in winter, reducing orstopping flights. Such disruptions suffer both airlinecompanies and passengers and whole operation. Therefore, snow removal tools and chemicals are usedto prevent snow and icing with various methods. In thisstudy, the most effective methods of snow removal wereexamined from various aspects, and it was tried to put forward which method would be more effective, considering the weather conditions. In the study, in order to examine the most efficient applications to be applied without damaging the environment, coating andaircraft, the experimental studies put forward by theinstitution were used, and then the method of examiningwritten sources was applied, supported by descriptivestudies.
