Post-Publication Corrections and Retractions Policy

AXIS World Journal is committed to maintaining the integrity, transparency, and accuracy of the scholarly record. When errors are identified after publication, appropriate corrective actions will be taken in accordance with COPE guidelines.

1. Corrections (Erratum / Corrigendum)

If a minor error is identified that does not affect the scientific validity, interpretation, or conclusions of the article, the journal will publish a formal Correction notice.

  • Erratum: For errors introduced during the editorial or production process.

  • Corrigendum: For errors introduced by the author(s).

The correction notice will:

  • Be linked to the original article.

  • Receive its own DOI.

  • Clearly describe the nature of the correction.

  • Preserve the original publication record.

The original article will not be removed, but a note will be added indicating that a correction has been published.

2. Retractions

Retractions may be issued in cases of:

  • Data fabrication or falsification

  • Plagiarism

  • Serious methodological error invalidating conclusions

  • Duplicate publication

  • Ethical violations

A retraction notice will:

  • Be clearly labeled as “Retraction”

  • Be linked to the original article

  • Explain the reason for retraction

  • Remain permanently accessible

The original article will remain online but will be clearly marked as “Retracted” to preserve the scholarly record.

3. Expression of Concern

If serious concerns are raised but an investigation is ongoing, the journal may publish an Expression of Concern.

This notice will:

  • Inform readers of potential issues

  • Be linked to the original article

  • Be updated once the investigation is concluded

4. Author Responsibility

Authors are required to promptly notify the Editorial Office if they identify significant errors in their published work.

Failure to cooperate with investigations may result in editorial action.

5. Transparency and Integrity

AXIS World Journal does not remove published articles except in exceptional legal circumstances. All corrections, retractions, and notices are permanently archived and linked to the original article to ensure full transparency.
